AMINO ACIDS FOR THE SURFACE OF THE EYE

Amino acids, as is well known, play an essential role in some diseases of the nervous system, as well as skin diseases, promoting cellular trophism, perhaps more than the very well known vitamins.
Experimental studies have highlighted the particular role of amino acids in the proliferation and functional activity of human skin fibroblasts.
Amino acids are said to be able to directly stimulate the production of collagen by the fibroblasts themselves, promoting recovery from different types of ulcers (arterial, venous, and diabetic ulcers, and bedsores).
Their potential could well be much more extensive, as it is well-known that fibroblasts plays a major role in the release of growth factors and in communication with adjacent epithelial cells...

Description

BLUyalA® is an Ophthalmic solution of sodium hyaluronate and amino acids

BLUyal A® is a preparation made up of a sterile isotonic ophthalmic solution with hyaluronic acid, sodium salt and amino acids, aimed at supplementing insufficient tear secretion and restoring the physiological conditions of the tear film.

Hyaluronic acid is a mucopolysaccharide which forms part of many types of body tissue. One of its properties is to adhere to the mucus of the surface of the eye, protecting it, humidifying it and lubricating it. Due to its mucoadhesive characteristics it stays on the surface of the eye for a long time and stabilises the tear film.

The sodium hydroxymethylglycinate (N-IG), contained in BLUyal A®, is a new generation amino acid derivative that thanks to its antimicrobial activity has an effective preserving action and has no negative effects on the surface of the eye.

The amino acids L-proline, L-glycine, hydrochloride L-lysine and L-leucine, contained in the product, increase the lubrication of the surface of the eye and can contribute to improving the protection of the epithelia subjected to stresses of various types.

Product Use

Tear substitute for corneal protection, transparent, sterile, and viscoelastic.
Protects, humidifies and lubricates the surface of the eye bringing particularly extended relief to disturbances caused by:
mechanical stress: e.g. during and after the use of contact lenses or during ophthalmological surgical and diagnostic procedures;
environmental stress: e.g. from air conditioning, wind, cold, polluted or dry air, and cigarette smoke;
visual stress: e.g. extended computer activity, use of microscopes or driving.
