Description

IRIDIUM® gauzes - For correct periocular hygiene in children and adults.

IRIDIUM gauzes are a sterile medical aid, with an EC trademark, specifically formulated for the hygiene of the eyelids and eyelashes. Thanks to the rational association of its components, IRIDIUM is effective in cleansing, is safe and gentle on sensitive skin and is non-irritant and non-sensitizing. It is well tolerated by the eye mucosa. No rinsing is needed after using the gauzes.

The active ingredients in IRIDIUM gauzes, such as the extract of echinacea, pineapple and beta-glycyrrhetinic acid, which literature attributes with anti-inflammatory, antiedemagenic and antibacterial properties, make careful and complete cleansing of the eye and areas connected to it (eyelid and eyelashes) possible.

Other components are useful in obtaining an optimal emollient effect whilst taking great care not to damage the particular physiology of this part of the anatomy, which is very important and particularly delicate and sensitive.

Product Use

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
After having carefully washed your hands, open the packet and take out the gauze. Apply the gauze to the eyelid area, wiping it gently in order to adequately clean and remove eye secretions and any other kinds of deposit (smog, fine dust and dust, etc.), and to benefit from the emollient and lenitive functions of the components of this product.
In the case of particularly persistent secretions or occlusion of the lachrymal canaliculus, it is advisable to heat up the sealed packet for a few minutes in warm water (approximately 40°C) and then use the gauze as a warm compress carefully massaging the area. It is also possible to squeeze the contents of the gauze onto the closed eye, leaning the head back slightly and then massaging the area with the gauze until any residue has been completely removed.
In the event of phlogosis, after cleansing, leave the gauze in place for a few minutes as a local compress and after having kept the sealed packet in the refrigerator for a few hours, delicately pat the eye area.

INDICATIONS
IRIDIUM gauzes are an effective instrument for eyelid and eyelash hygiene in adults and children, also in the presence of secretions due to inflammation and/or infection. They are particularly effective when used in association with specialist treatment prescribed for eye diseases of an allergic, inflammatory and infective nature.
IRIDIUM gauzes are particularly recommended as a periocular hygiene aid before and after any type of ophthalmic surgery and in occlusion of the lachrymal caniculus in children and adults.
