NEXTAL® gel is a sterile ophthalmic solution based on hypermellose and amino acids N-IG
Hypermellose is a polymer that has the property of thickening and stabilizing the tear film on the ocular surface thus creating a protective shield that is both transparent and viscoelastic.
The amino acids L-proline, L-glycine, L-chlorhydrate lysine and L-leucine, contained in the product increase lubrication of the ocular surface and can lend a hand in protecting the epitelium subject to stress of varying nature.
Sodium hydroxymethylglycinate (N-IG), contained in Nextal®gel is a new amino acid derivate that exerts an efficient action of conservation thanks to its antimicrobial action; and causes no harmful effects on the ocular surface.
NEXTAL® gel is a hydrating and lubricating tear substitute for the treatment of ocular ailments caused by tear deficiency (dry eye syndrome), environmental, visual or mechanical stress. It is especially indicated in severe cases of dry eye syndrome and nighttime protection of the ocular surface.
